I recently bought some outdoor solar lights. They were perfect for our front yard and for the holidays. They are easy to set up.
The product
The solar lights are compact and include everything you need in the box.
The lights are coiled and include the solar panel and the stake.
The solar panel has a power and mode button on the back.
I bought multi-colored and white lights. The lights are decently spaced and are sealed in a flexible tube. The lights have IP65 waterproof rating.
check out our video post.
Setting the lights up
The lights are easy to set up. All you need to do is uncoil the lights and stretch them out a bit to straighten them. I helped my dad do this and it took us a few minutes but it’s pretty easy to do. We just ran the rope light between our hands then we gave it a light tug at either end.
Once you know where you want to place the lights you will need to take into account the hours of light the solar panel will get. According to the product info the solar panel should have 6 hours or more of direct sunlight.
The light can stay on up to 10 hours. (results will vary).
The lights are stated to be 39 ft. I didn’t measure the lights so I can’t say it’s an accurate measurement. The total number of lights is 100.
The lights have 8 modes. The modes afireflies flashing, waves, fading, chasing, flashing, fading slowly, twinkle, flashing, and steady-on.
How to anchor the lights
According to the directions you should use nails or anything to puncture the lights. You can use tape or a hook.
I found this medium hook. Brightown also has these adhesive hooks.
We used some tape to attach the lights to our palm tree.
We just draped it around our lime tree.
The final results
The lights are sold in a variety of colors. The lights are currently $9.99. Price may vary.
