Last December I won a prize from a survey company I had recently joined. I didn’t know what the prize was until the box arrived at my door. Well to my surprise it was a new Black + Decker Blender.
To be honest the seconded I opened the box I had my doubts about it. It looked rather inexpensive and didn’t look very durable. Well I gave it to my mom since I knew she needed a new blender. She had been saving and recently used it last night. Okay I have to be honest I was quite surprised by it’s power. It’s not as noisy as her old Oster blender which sounded like you were grinding rocks in it. But that’s beyond the point now getting back to this new blender. She made a green drink which consisted of spinach, cilantro, banana parsley, and some ice and water. Well when she turned it on I watched everything become obliterated in no time. It crushed the ice and broke down the spinach and cilantro leaves with out leaving a trace. I was very surprised by how well it blended everything with out leaving it chunky. The green drink was very good. The blender itself if very stylish and compact. The Jar is made of a high quality glass with a tight fitting lid for a secure seal. I like the design because the jar slips over the motor housing so it offers better control and less movement when it is in use. The only drawback I have found is that the cord is a little short.
