The opinion expressed is my own. I did received this product for free from Tomoson.com and the manufacture in exchange for my honest review.
Azteca Gold Healing Clay is the second facial mask product that I’ve reviewed you can watch the video for the first one here. This mud mask is very different from the first one I tried because it is dry.
It’s a fine sort of mud mask. I was a little surprised to see that it was that fine. I tried it this morning and really liked it. According to the manufacture you are to use ½ teaspoon of the clay to 1 ½ teaspoons water. I didn’t take these instructions to heart because I just shook some out into my hand. Which was a bad idea because I ended up with too much. So I advise you follow the instructions and place the clay into a small disposable plate or bowl to make it easier to use.
Like I mentioned I sort of eyeballed the amount I wanted to use in my hand and I added a little water at a time. As you can see the clay goes from a white or light gray to a darker gray color. Again the manufacture states that you should wait 10 minutes for the water to fully absorb into the clay. Well my ADD kicked in and I waited until it looked like it was wet enough to put it on my face.I applied the mask to a wet face. It goes on smooth.
As you can see from my photo it is a little hard to see so I didn’t know if I didn’t use enough clay or if I hadn’t let it sit long enough before applying it to my face. I then had to wait 10 to 15 minutes for it to fully dry. So I went along with my daily routine. The one thing I did notice right away was that I felt it working on my nose. My nose started to itch a little so I guess the Bentnite clay was pulling out the impurities. You do feel it hardening and your face does feel tighter. That’s what I felt anyway.
Once it’s fully dry you see how it lightens and how it becomes almost chalky in it’s consistency. It was easy to wash off. I used a washcloth and warm water. It make take a few minutes if you applied a thicker layer.
So all in all it worked very well. My face felt smooth and my face felt very clean once I was done. I would suggest you give it a try. According to the package you can use the this clay mask twice a week to help reduce breakouts. The mask also came with a very informative e-book that has many uses for the product.
