It doesn’t matter what type of content creation you make be it video, written, or photos. Sometimes you will be bombarded by questions.
This is true across all platforms from content creators, product reviewers, and testers. All you can do is your best to answer the questions.
Questions may run the gambit
I’ve had people ask me for contact information for PR boxes or how to join a select testing site. Or even leave comments on my social media posts suggesting I clarify where the product was from. Also adding I include a link as well.
Here’s the thing you don’t have to oblige some of these questions. Especially if you don’t feel comfortable giving out PR contact information. I’ve had chats with several online friends regarding these types of questions. People just think everyone will give them contact info.
What I usually do is direct people to the website and let them know where the contact information is shared.
If you are a product reviewer or sampler or tester they get really specific
I’ve even had people ask me how they can be selected for more products in product testing or sampling panels or sites. I’m sorry but I don’t work for these companies I’m a fellow site user so I have no idea how you can get chosen for more products you’d like to try.
some questions may be redundant
Get ready to repeat yourself a few times (or several hundred) because at times it seems people bombard you with the same question. Even if you pin the answer someone will still say “Hey can you share XYZ with me.”
I’ve noticed this to be very true via Youtube and Instagram. It seems some folks don’t view captions or descriptions at times.
It’s okay not to know the answer
I’ve had a number of people ask me several questions that I don’t know the answer to. So I usually direct them to the site or product link so they can contact the brand directly.
just try your best
As content creators, we may be expected to know everything and be helpful to everyone. But in the end, all we can do is try our best.
