Happy Father’s Day Fox Mulder!

I hope you wake up to the smell of pancakes and coffee and the sound of your two loves’ laughter in the kitchen downstairs. I hope Daggoo jumps onto the bed that you share with Scully and you allow him to snuggle close to you for a few minutes even though you know Scully hates it. I hope Scully enters the bedroom to wake you up and you plant a slightly longer kiss on her lips. I hope William enters the bedroom a few minutes later and sees the both of you with your lips joined together and thinks that it is utterly gross.

I hope that you spend the entire afternoon playing baseball with William at your backyard, with Scully and Daggoo sitting by the porch. I hope that just for this very special day, Scully would have allowed pizza to be delivered to the house for dinner and that all three of you would snuggle on the old, brown leathered couch with a Marvel (Scully only knows the Captain America movies because she’s a huge fan of Peggy Carter) movie playing on the television.

I hope that as the day draws to a close, you and Scully would spread a blanket on the grass at your backyard and the both of you just lie there and look at the stars as she scoots over to your side and draws lazy circles on your chest. I hope that you have a wonderful Father’s Day, Fox, because you deserve it.
