Last Sunday I happened to watch Ex Machina. It was very interesting. It also made me think about AI tech along with robots which can go hand in hand. All in all, the movie had a well-written storyline. The cinematography was visually stunning as well. But again the main point was dealing with AI tech. For me when I think of AI tech or robots the following come ot mind:
- BladeRunner
- I, Robot
- Bicentennial Man
- 2001: A Space Odyssey
Okay I know 2001 shouldn’t count but I still think the HAL 9000 was sort of an AI since it was a supercomputer. But the thought of AIÂ along with robots always makes me wonder. We all have some form of AI now as it is thanks to smartphones, smart speakers or any voice-activated assistant. Personally, I’m still waiting for a Rosie like the Jetsons had.
I think we all our thought on the subject along with the pros and cons of it as well. Anyways I just thought I’d share this. Don’t forget to let m know what you think if you’ve seen the movie.
