In the past, I’ve shared about social media marketing tactics and spam. Well, it seems there is a new way marketing sites are trying to get your money.
You may be asking how? Well, I’ll tell you sites are charging to help you become verified on social media platforms. I will admit this isn’t a new practice but it seems there is a new company spamming my inbox about their services.
Here’s a previous video I shared about social media marketing tactics.
The email
I’ve been contacted a few times by a new company named Vip Engaged (dot com). It seems that they promise to verify your social media accounts.
The email looks like spam to me because it displays an Instagram feed with a user name blurred out followed by a notice stating that the account had been verified.
Followed by this message:

What got me about this email was that they expected me to reply back to the email for more details. Which I didn’t and wouldn’t since I’m familiar with these rather sketchy marketing sites.
Checking out their website
I was checking out their website earlier and I found out they offered many marketing services.
They seem to offer a number of social media marketing services. They range in price from $999 (to start) up to nearly $2,900 USD. The site is similar to the one I share in the video and other marketing sites they claim will boost your engagement and offer you real followers (whatever that means). They also state they will verify your account.
Like many of these companies, they claim to market for influencers and large brands. They claim they have verified large makeup and clothing brands.
I doubt these well-known brands need help being verified on social media they are globally recognized.
digging a little deeper
I did a bit more digging and looked into the site’s Whois info. It’s not a big surprise that vip engaged is only 2 months old.
When I checked the address of the company it’s very similar to another brand I shared last year. The pricing scale is also the same. They charge high prices for fake followers and some marketing services.
Here’s the thing
Here’s the thing you can verify your account yourself for FREE. You can find the settings in all the popular social media apps. Or you can search how to do this. You don’t need to pay outrageous prices for services you may not even see a benefit from.
Beware of these tactics and when in doubt do all the homework you can on the companies wanting to market your content.
