I’ve tried a few different skincare products this year. I thought I’d share a few of my favorites.

blemish care

I’ve tried a few products from Hero Cosmetics that I loved. I liked their blemish treatment stickers as well as their rescue balm.

Hero Cosmetics

Be mighty sticker- 2 boxes of Mighty patch Invisible (blue corner box) - 2 boxes of Mircopoint Mighty Patch (mint cornered box)
mighty patches. micropoint blemish (light blue/tea) invisible + (blue box)

I liked that the mighty patches work well and didn’t irritate my skin. If your pimple has a head you can apply the patch for up to six hours (or longer) and watch it be treated. I also liked them because it kept me from picking at my zit.

The products range in price from around $13 USD and up Prices vary by retailer)

I found them at Target and Amazon.

Rescue balm

I loved the rescue balm I helped my skin heal and did help reduce the dark mark I can develop. It’s easy to use and can be used twice a day.

The rescue balm retails for $13 USD and can be found via Amazon and the brand.

BEAUTREE Blemish Calming Treatment Pads

I liked these blemish pads because they didn’t irritate my skin. They also didn’t cause any adverse reactions. You can use the on your entire face or just on the acne prone area.

The treatment pads last a while depending on how often you use them. They are sold in a 60 count jar.

Dark spot corrector

mele skincare

I was introduced to Mele Skincare this year. I loved the dark spot control serum.

The product worked great on my dark spots. I will note that this product works well for women of color or those with higher melanin in their skin tone.

Even though the product has Retinol in it I didn’t have any redness or burning. I liked that it was quick absorbing and worked on my dark spots in what seemed like days. Everyone’s results will vary.

Mele skincare can be found at Target.

Serums

I’ve tried a few serums this year that I liked. Here’s two that I thought were the most helpful.

StriVectin Peptight Tightening & Brightening Face Serum

I liked this product. It did improve the look of my skin. As with any product results will vary from user to user.

This product can be found at various retailers including Amazon.

Ultra Hydrating Alkaline Gel Booster

I loved this gel booster. It offered a nice hydrating layer to my skincare routine. It absorbed well into my skin and didn’t cause any adverse reactions. I did feel it worked with with a moisturizer.

This product can be found at Derma-e and Target.

I’ll share more of my favorites again next week.
