Under eye patches have been the big thing for years. I think it may just depend on your skincare routine and if you like using them. I’ve used them on and off over the years. There are different product to deal with different issues.
It seems like there are a different variety of under eye patches to fit every issue. They area also made of different material as well.
no more puffy eyes
I used some under-eye patches back in 2017 that was gold and included collagen. They were stated to help soothe puffy eyes and improve the look of your skin. They were a decent size and stayed in place well. Yet they were like a gelatin material.
The gold was to help in some way as well. I think it was more of a novelty but it may have done something.
I couldn’t tell if it really reduced swelling but they were cooling to the skin. The gold was a nice touch too.
Help dark circles
Some under eye patches may help with dark circles. Deal with dark circles may vary from brand to brand. It also may offer a cooling or reduce puffy eyes too.
These Orchid skin Smoky eye patches work well. I felt they brought out my dark circles more but I realized maybe that’s the point since it does have natural ingredients that may help alleviate the look of dark circles.
The eye patches are nice and stay in place. Yet they offer a gelatin feel with a cotton front. I did feel that they may be a bit large for some users.
I will admit these were cooling to the face and did stay on even after 20 minutes of use.
brightening under your eyes
These eye patches may go hand in hand with the ones that help dark circles but these may contain vitamin C or another brightening ingrident.
Derma-E sent me some Vitamin C Bright Eyes Hydro Gel Patches a while back. These are nice because they are a hydrogel material and are clear.
I will admit I haven’t tried these yet and I really need too. Derma-e states they may help brighten, help reduce puffiness and hydrate your under eye skin.
Vitamin C Bright Eyes Hydro Gel Patcheshelping skin elasticity
I don’t know about anyone else but I tend to rub my eyes. Since I wear glasses my under eye skin may get extra friction due to my glasses. So if I can improve my skin elasticity I’m all for it.
These Orchid skin Elastic eye patches aren’t too bad. They are like the previous ones I mentioned. They offer a cooling effect yet these are blue on the underside. The fit is also about the same.
I didn’t feel my skin was tight or too damp. Again they are a gelatin style gel patch. They did provide hydration to my under eye skin as well.
Which is best for you?
I think this will be up to you. I know everyone has different needs. Some products may take time to work as well as show results. So it may be a trial and error process.
I usually use eye patches when I feel I need them. I hope this post was helpful.
