I was recently able to test and review a skincare product thanks to Octoly. I was able to select a product from Skinfix. I’d never heard of the brand and thought it would be a great introduction product.
I was able to test the Barrier + Triple Lipid-Peptide Cream.
The product
SkinFix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Cream is stated to help improve your skins hydration and may improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and elasticity.
You can apply the cream twice daily after cleansing. The directions state to apply it to a dry face.
The cream is sold in a jar. The jar is unique it offers a pump style top that dispenses the cream. This is nice because it helps avoid contaminating the product by putting your fingers in it.
The cream is a standard white shade. It’s thick but not heavy in it’s consistency. It’s light weight and spreads well.

user experience
Being that this was the first product I’d used from Skinfix i wasn’t sure how my skin would react. I applied the product alone with no other serums the first time I tried it.
It will take you a few test pumps to dispense the cream. The pad is easy to press down and doesn’t stick. You can use one to two pumps of cream. This may vary by your skin needs. I tried one and felt it wasn’t enough. So I used two pumps to apply the cream to my face.
I found the cream melts as it begins to warm in the hands. The cream is thick yet absorbs quickly. I didn’t feel it left my face feeling greasy or oily in anyway. As with any skincare product it may take time to adjust to it. I felt that it did hydrate my face. I didn’t feel that it was irritating to the skin.
Applying it to the face was very simple and it didn’t seem to clog my pores. I thought when I woke up the next morning my face felt less dry. I will say that everyone’s results will vary.
final thoughts
As a whole I can say I liked SkinFix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Cream. It was easy to apply and provided the hydration my skin needed. I will say that I’ve applied it both to a damp and dry face. I felt that my skin was a bit more hydrated when my face was damp. I haven’t noticed a major difference in my skin quality such as reductions of fine lines but to be honest I haven’t been looking too closely.
The cream didn’t leave any type of oily barrier on my face. When I tried it with my usual serum I didn’t have any adverse effects.
Now let’s talk about price. The 1.7 fl oz jar retails for $50 USD via Skinfix.
It can also be found at Sephora for $50 USD as well.
This is a bit of a luxury for me. But I am thankful to Skinfix and Octoly for allowing me to test and review this product. You can learn more by visiting the links in the post.
