Derma-E gifted me this Vitamin C Concentrated Serum in a box that included other Vitamin C products a few weeks ago. I started using the serum recently. I like the consistency and that it includes Hyaluronic acid in it as well.
I’d like to add a cautionary note before I move on. You may want to check if you can use vitamin C products with your current skincare routine. It’s always to be safe than sorry.
The product
Vitamin C Concentrated Serum is stated to help brighten your skin and hydrate your skin. It may help even the appearance of fine lines, uneven skin tone, and age spots.
The 2 Fl oz container has a pump top which is easy to use.
The serum can be used daily morning and evening.
Ingredients (source derma-e)
Purified Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycerin, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Polymnia Sonchifolia Root Juice, Rosa Canina Seed Oil, Lactobacillus, Citric Acid, Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide, Allantoin, Panthenol, Cellulose Gum, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Xanthan Gum, Maltodextrin, Sodium Citrate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Natural Fragrance Oil.
User experience
The serum is lightweight. For me it’s a bit runny but this may have to do with the fact that I have had this for a few weeks. I’m not complaining about that I’m just mentioning it.
The color of the serum is a light yellowish or orange shade.
Overall the serum applies well and didn’t cause any skin issues. I didn’t have any redness or irritation. I also found it absorbed quickly.
I noticed how hydrating or refreshing the serum is. I would think this has something to do with the addition of Hylauronic acid. I didn’t have any adverse reactions as I mentioned before.
final thoughts
Overall I liked the serum. As far as the brightening goes I think it has helped improve my skin tone. I did notice that some of my older acne spots seem lighter. The serum is easy to use and refreshing to the skin.
As far as price point goes the Vitamin C Concentrated Serum retails for $24.50 USD. Prices may vary by retailer.
This product can be found at Derma-E, Target and Ulta.
You can also check out all the other products Derma-E has in their Vitamin C collection as well.
Thanks again to Derma-E for this gift and the reviewing and testing opportunity.
