I happened to see a post for a free sample via Instagram a week or so ago. Being that I like samples I figured I’d try it out. Well this sample was from a brand i wasn’t familiar with. I thought it would be nice to learn more about a new brand.

The sample arrived quickly and it was a deep cleansing clay mask.

The product

Omorovicza Budapest is a brand I’m not too familiar with but since I’m always open to trying new skincare i figured I’d give it a try.

The clay mask arrived in a small sample packet. According to the brand it’s stated to reduce pore size, hydrate your skin, and deeply cleanse your face.

Being that it was a clay mask I didn’t really expect it to be much different from others i’d used in the past.

According to Sephora it can be used by all skin types.

The mask can be worn for 15 to 20 minutes. Drying time may depend on your environment and temperature. If you have any sensitivities you can remove it sooner.

user experience

The clay mask similar to others I’ve used in the past. It was light and not too heavy. Since the packet was small it had enough for me to cover my face with a light layer. I did wash my face with my standard cleanser before applying the mask. I also dried my face so it wasn’t dripping wet or too damp.

The color is a bit beige.

Applying it to my face was easy. it spread evenly and didn’t seem too gritty. It had an earthy scent. nothing too off putting.

I didn’t feel that the mask irritated my skin in any way either. Again since this was a small packet I was able to cover my face in a light layer. Try to avoid your eye area.

Since i was using the sample I left it on for about 10 minutes. You notice it begins to dry and turn a lighter shade. This may vary from the full size product of course. But for the sample it seemed to dry a lighter shade. It also didn’t feel like it was caking onto my skin. Nor did it seem like it was sucking all the moisture out of my skin either.

The mask dried almost opaique to my skin tone. I did have a few spots that were a bit damp but after 10 minutes i felt that the mask was dried enough to rinse off.

OMOROVICZA suggest you use a wash cloth or mitt when removing the mask. If you have applied I thick layer I would say that’s a good idea. Since the sample was a thinner layer I just rinsed my face with warm water until the mask was removed. I also lightly rubbed the mask off my skin.

It did rinse clean and I didn’t have any gritty or rough feel to my skin. It was very smooth.

Final thoughts

Overall the OMOROVICZA DEEP CLEANSING MASK Is a nice product but I didn’t really think it was any different from other clay masks I’ve tried in the past. It did leave my skin feeling smooth and soft. As for the pore shrinking I can’t really say I noticed a big difference.

Now let’s talk about the price point. The OMOROVICZA DEEP CLEANSING MASK is very much a luxury brand. They seem to sell two sizes of the clay mask.

The 50ml jar retails for $125 UDS. The 100ml jar retails for $180 USD.

For me that is out of my usual skincare budget. It is sold at the brands website and Sephora.

However I did find it listed via Amazon for a fraction of the price. You can check out that listing below.

Thanks to the brand for the free sample but I think I will stick with my usual clay mask.
