Recently I shared that I’d been sent a sample request from Strivectin. I’d heard of the brand but never purchased it. Being that I like to try samples I saw the ad via Instagram (if i recall correctly). Overall the Peptight serum is unique.
the product
The Peptightâ„¢ Tightening & Brightening Face Serum is new and it states it can help brighten and improve the look of your skin. It may also tighten your skin as well. The sample I was sent was a 0.27 fl oz tube. According to the box the serum can be used twice daily and with other skincare products. You can apply it before applying your usual moisturizer. You do need to apply the serum to clean skin.
The pump top is easy to use and dispenses the serum evenly.
Overall the serum has a cream like quality. It’s white in coloration and slightly thicker then a usual serum.

user experience
I applied a bit of the serum on my hand and then applied it to my face. Since this was the first time trying the product I didn’t know how much to apply. The box didn’t really sate how much needs to be applied as well. So I dotted the serum on my face. Just a reminder you need to apply it to clean skin. My skin was dry as well.
I found that one pump gives you a nice amount. So i just did a pump or dot at a time.
According to Strivectin you apply the serum to the skin and massage it in using circular motions until it absorbs. I did that and as you work the serum into your skin it begins to turn clear.
Once you fully work the serum into the skin my skin didn’t looks shiny or greasy.
After i applied the product to my entire face and neck. I didn’t have any real redness or irritation.Since this was my time trying the product I didn’t apply anything else to my skin for the night to see if i’d have any reactions.
I did feel the following
A while after applying the StriVectin Peptight Tightening & Brightening Face Serum I did feel a bit of warming on my skin. Nothing too harsh but my skin did feel warm to the touch. I didn’t feel a tightening or have any real redness. I also felt that the serum absorbed yet it left a film on my skin.
as I mentioned above I didn’t apply any other skincare products to my face besides this one. I did feel that my skin was smoother but it still felt like it left a noticeable barrier on my skin. Noticeable in terms of when I touched my face it felt smooth but also like when you have moisturizer on. I can’t explain it but there was a film or what I can describe as a film.
This morning when I woke up I felt that my face wasn’t dry in many areas but again I had the feeling of a film on my skin. I didn’t apply anything to my face with morning either.
Final thoughts
Overall the StriVectin Peptight Tightening & Brightening Face Serum is a unique product. I can’t say it really brightened my skin since this was my first use. Nor can I say it tightened my skin also do to it being my first-time use. But I can say it does give you a warming sensation on the skin. I felt the product absorbs yet it leaves a film or barrier on the skin.
I’m glad I was able to sample the product because the full-size tube is $99 USD. That’s out of my usual skincare price budget.
