I’ve shared about a number of Maple Holistic products in the past. You can learn more here. I needed to purchase Tea Tree oil last year to replace one that was running out. Well, I did some searching and found one for a reasonable price.

I like to use Tea Tre Oil in a homemade cleaner. I found the recipe many years ago online.

Homemade Cleaner Recipe

Again I found this recipe via a blog but I don’t recall which. This is also listed as a toilet bowl cleaner but it works for sinks and bathtubs as well.

  • 1/4 cup liquid castile soap (i like to use scented castile soap for an added effect)
  • 1 3/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons baking soda (you can also just sprinkle the amount you’d like into the bowl. That’s what I do.)
  • 8 to 10 drops of essential oils. You can use Lemon, tea tree or others that you like.
  • You can mix all these ingredients into a large squirt bottle. I use a spray bottle for the liquid ingredients and just add the baking soda to the item I’m cleaning.

Getting back to the Tea Tree Oil

Let’s get back to the point which is Tea Tree Oil. The Maple Holistics Tea Tree oil is very easy to use. It has a variety of uses from skincare to use in diffusers or in cleansers as I shared above.

Maple Holitics Tea Tree Oil
As an FYI the labeling as changed since I purchased this product.

Overall the Tea Tree oil is very light but can be a bit fragrant. You may want to use a few drops less then what is suggested for your usage. You can also test to see what works for you as well. You may want to do a spot test if you will be using it for skincare or as a massage oil.

I like the versatility of it. You can add a few drops to your existing products to help combat an itchy scalp for example. If you will be using it in skincare I would suggest you test a drop or two in your current products to make sure it doesn’t cause any separation.

Final thoughts

I like Maple Holistics so I was very happy with their Tea Tree Oil. It fit my needs and my budget. Being that I only need a few drops the bottle may last me a while. All in all, it gets the job done for my cleaning tasks. I’ve also used it to spot treat blemishes along with bug bites. It helped relieve the discomfort. Again the scent is noticeable but it fades. I will gladly purchase another bottle when this one runs out.
