Well while I was waiting for my video to be created I did have an update from a rep at Netspend. She called me thanks to the complaint i filed via the Consumer Protection Financial Bureau CFPB https://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Basically, the Netspend rep contacted me to follow up on the information i had supplied. They also wanted to assure me that I would be removed from any further mail offers and advertisements. So, in short, it paid off to file a complaint. I did find out where my information was obtained. The rep contacted me this week to let me know that my info had been shared via a Focus group site.
