I was recently selected by Shopper Army to try two Target brand up & up laundry products.
I was sent a laundry detergent and a fabric conditioner.
The products
I was selected to test an up & up laundry detergent in the scent of fresh linen and a fabric conditioner in the scent of Spring Breeze.
I will admit I don’t use fabric conditioners or fabric softener much if at all so the second product was a bit new to me.
The laundry detergent was a decent consistency and wasn’t too thick or too thin.
The fabric conditioner was the same consistency. it was almost soupy. I just figured this was due to being jostled around during shipping.

Things to note about the fabric conditioner
There are some things to take note of when you use a fabric conditioner. These are also stated in the bottle directions.
Always shake the bottle before use. Dilute the conditioner with water as well. Never use fabric conditioner on terry cloth materials, flannel, children’s pajamas, or clothing. Or any clothing or products labeled flame-resistant.
Putting the products to the test
I tested the products with a few loads of laundry. I did one load with fabric conditioner and then used the laundry detergent for the second load of laundry.
Testing the fabric conditioner
For the laundry, I used fabric conditioner with I used fragrance-free detergent.
As I mentioned I use fragrance-free detergent with this load of laundry. My LG HE washer has a softener dispenser so I added the fabric conditioner to the dispenser and then added water as the bottle noted.
Now let’s talk about the fill lines on the cap, shall we?
Like many laundry products, they have the fill lines on the cap.
Yet these fill lines were nearly invisible. You have to hold the top up to a light to see them.
The lines are lettered. Which was different.
I would have liked the fill lines to be color coded or something to make the easier to see. But that’s just my opinion.
I used the fabric conditioner when I washed my sheets and towels.
What I did notice was that the fabric conditioner has a bit of a strong scent. Yet after my clothing was washed the scent mellowed.
I found that the sheets and towels did feel softer. When I used a towel to dry off later that night I noticed that the fabric conditioner didn’t affect it’s absorbency at all.

Testing the laundry detergent
I tested the laundry detergent on a few loads of laundry.
The fresh linen scent was decent. It wasn’t overwhelming or too strong.
Like the fabric conditioner the detergent has fill lines on the cap.
Once again you need to hold it up to a light to see the lines.
It would be nice if they were color coded or notched on the outside of the cap as well for easier use.
The detergent worked well to clean my clothes. I didn’t notice any fading or discoloration. My clothing had as light scent after they were dried.
The detergent consistency was perfect it wasn’t too thick or too runny.

I tried the together
I did a load of laundry to see what using both products would do. I found that since I diluted the fabric conditioner with water the scent mellows so the fresh linen scent is more notice able.
My laundry turned out softer thanks to the fabric conditioner.
Final thoughts and Where to buy
Final thoughts
As a whole I think the up & up brand of laundry product is comparable to name brand laundry products. The fabric conditioner worked well and did leave my clothing softer. The laundry detergent did a good job at getting my clothes clean. It also didn’t cause any fading or other clothing changes.
Where to buy
The up & up fabric conditioner and laundry detergent can be found at Target (in store and online). Tee fabric conditioner and laundry detergent are sold in various sizes.
Thanks to Shopper Army for these free products and the testing opportunity.
