A while ago I came across some Eva NYC hair care while I was out shopping. Since I was curious to see if it lived up to the hype i figured I’d buy it. I found both the Clean It Up Shampoo & Soften Up Conditioner Set. I liked that the bottles were 33.8 oz each. I figured they would last me a long while.
I’ve been using the products on and off for the last few months now. I figured I’d give you all my thoughts on them.
the products
Overall the Eva NYC Clean It Up Shampoo & Soften Up Conditioner set is stated to be for all hair types. The Clean It Up Shampoo helps cleanse your hair. While the Soften it up conditioner moisturizes and hydrates your hair. I think they both worked as stated yet I still have a few issues.
Clean It Up Shampoo
the shampoo is a decent formula. It’s not too thick. I think mine has just been sitting too long so it seems a bit runny.
I also found that the lather was about average It wasn’t too sudsy. I liked the smell. It wasn’t too overwhelming.
However, I did noticed a few issues. I found that if I left it on my hair too long it dried my hair out. I’ve also noticed that I had more hair fall out versus other products i’ve used recently. Granted my hair wasn’t falling out in clumps or anything. But I did notice more hair in my bathtub then usual. This may just be do to normal hair loss again this may have just been my experience.
I felt the shampoo cleansed my hair but I think this may be better suited for someone who uses hair products regularly. Since the product does cleanse your hair it may be best to read the info on Eva NYC website prior to purchase.

The conditioner is thick so it coast the hair fully. I didn’t feel that it left my hair feeling oily or greasy. it does hydrate and moisturize your hair. Again like the shampoo it’s states it can be used on all hair types.
I liked that the conditioner has a light scent. It’s easy to rinse out as well.
I thought the conditioner worked better then the shampoo did to be honest. Yet i still feel that the products may have weighted down my hair a bit. This may be my experience.

final thoughts
I liked the products yet I felt the conditioner worked better then the shampoo. The products are sold in various sizes from 33.8 oz bottles with a pump to smaller sizes such as 16 oz or what appears to be a travel size bottle as well.
I paid around $9 USD for each 33.8 oz bottles but they were found at Burlington so they were discounted. Regularly priced the 33.8 oz bottle retails for $18 USD each.
As for the smaller bottle 16.9 oz bottle retails for $9 USD. The products can be found at various retailers.
