I tried Febreze Hygienic clean: a spicy surprise

I didn’t know Febreze had hygienic clean air care products until I was able to claim a free sample product thanks to Try it Sampling.

The air freshener arrived recently. it’s pretty straightforward and has unique sent I wasn’t expecting.

This Febreze Hygienic clean air freshener is different. It is in scent Clean Splash. The most interesting thing about this product is that you don’t need to shake the bottle.

The bottle is lightweight and has an easy-to-use trigger handle. You will need to prime it before any air freshener is dispersed but that doesn’t take more than two to three pumps of the trigger.

The air freshener can be used in kitchens, bathrooms, and storage areas. Or any place you’d like to freshen a scent.

It can’t be used on fabrics.

The spray is a light mist. You can use a sweeping motion to disperse the product with each spray. I found that a few short mists worked as well.

Note according to the can this product is safe to use around dogs and cats. it is also made with corn-derived odor eliminators. It’s also a water-based spray.

I will add that if you are sensitive to scents you may want to test this out in one area before spraying it around your home. Also as with any air freshener always use it in a well-ventilated area.

my user experience

Overall I liked the product. I sprayed it in a few areas. As I stated above I only did a few short mist sprays. I used it in my bathroom and near the cat’s litter boxes.

The surprising thing about this is the scent name. Clean Splash. I was expecting it to smell watery, ocean-like, or even like clean linen. Nope, it smells like the holidays. It’s a mix of cinnamon and spice.

So that was a big surprise. it wasn’t so overpowering that it irritates your nose but I will say spray it lightly. Since the scent lingers for a few minutes it’s easy to go overboard.

My mom liked the scent. She thought it was inviting and not too artificial. I liked that a few mists did the trick. Sophie didn’t mind the scent. it didn’t make her sneeze or leave the room. The other cats didn’t seem to mind it either.

Overall it did leave an inviting scent. It did mask general odors but it wasn’t too strong. it also didn’t amplify the orders it was trying to mask. Or cause a mix of odors that can be very unpleasant.

final thoughts and pricing

Overall Febreze Hygienic clean air freshener would be a good product to try. I may purchase another bottle to use during the holidays. The scent through me but it works.

I liked that the trigger was easy to use. The mist is sprayed evenly. If sprayed in a sweeping motion you can cover a wider area. I also liked that you didn’t have to shake the can.

Overall the Febreze product is affordable. It’s under $5 USD (price may vary by location)
